Empowering Christian Africans to escape poverty as well as share Jesus within their communities for the glory of God.
We believe God has called us to build self-sufficient Mission and Community Centers to
empower Christians and churches in Africa (beginning in Kenya). Each Mission and
Community Center consists of a library, a health facility, a literacy school, a community
hall, a sports center, apartments and small businesses.
We strive to alleviate the severe hunger from which so many of these children suffer by offering a feeding program in Kiambiu slum on Saturdays and providing meals at school through our educational centre in Mathare Slum.
We hope to reduce the cycle of poverty by ensuring that children receive a high quality education through the Roskern Educational Centre and through tuition sponsorships.

Your donations to the Food & Family Programs and Education Programs are life changing for the children and families in the slums. These programs ensure that children don’t suffer from hunger, and they provide a path to escape a life of poverty.
“Most families survive on less than $1 a day and are unable to afford both food and school tuition. (School isn’t free in Kenya.) Families are forced to choose between feeding their children or sending them to school. As a result, many children have to stay home or work instead of achieving an education. Supporting the purchase of food or sponsoring a student’s tuition helps relieve the stress on the family, breaks the cycle of poverty and illiteracy and opens the door to a world of new possibilities.”
"I have been a beneficiary of the Roskern Foundation for the past two years, and I can't express how much it has transformed my life. The support and resources provided by this foundation have allowed me to pursue my education and achieve my dreams. I am grateful to the foundation for believing in me and making a real difference in my life."
Our organization has collaborated with the Rosekern Foundation on several projects, and their commitment to creating positive change in the community is evident. Their contributions have made a lasting impact. I believe in their vision for a better world. Join me in supporting their important mission. And I'm proud to be a part of their mission.
As a proud supporter of the Roskern Foundation, I've seen the incredible work they do in our community. It's heartwarming to know that every donation makes a real difference in the lives of those who need it most. Volunteering with the Roskern Foundation has been a truly rewarding experience. The dedication and passion of the foundation's team to help others are inspiring.
Yes! You can direct your money to specific programs such as tuition sponsorships, feeding programs, kinship programs, the Roskern Educational Centre or to future programs including the Roskern Community Centre, the transitional home or the foster care program.
The Roskern Foundation provides updates on how funding is used via newsletters, Facebook and the website. Donors who participate in the tuition sponsorship program receive pictures of the child they sponsor, report cards each semester and personal correspondence from the child.
Zero! 100% of your donation is applied to the program of your choice. If you donate to the feeding program, your entire donation is used to purchase food. If you sponsor a child’s tuition, your total donation is applied to the actual school fees. Since the Roskern Foundation is run by volunteers, there are no salaries to be paid.
The Roskern Foundation’s United States based Director (or Manager) of Donor Relations has known Joseph Simba, the organization’s founder and CEO, for 15 years. She trusts Joseph explicitly and is involved in daily discussions about the use of donor funding from the United States. Newsletters, Facebook posts, website updates, donor testimonials and direct correspondence from the children support the validity of the Roskern Foundation.
We reworded this a little bit. “Roskern Foundation Feeding Programs provide daily meals at the Roskern Educational Centre in Mathare Slum and a meal to children in Kiambiu Slum on Saturdays. Your donation of $20 subsidizes student meals for one day, and $160 finances the weekly Saturday feeding program.”
Roskern Foundation Education programs provide quality educations and hope for a better life through the Roskern Educational Center and tuition sponsorships. Your donation of $600 to $1,200 sponsors a high school student for a year, and $ xxx funds one child’s annual tuition at the Roskern Educational Center. A donation of $ xxx will provide annual school fees at an alternative primary school.
Roskern Foundation Kinship programs place children without parents in a family setting with an extended adult family member. Your donation of $200 situates a child with a family for what we hope is a long term solution.
The Roskern Foundation’s future programs are focused on keeping youth in family and healthy (or favorable) environments where they can flourish (or thrive) and realize their God given potential. Future programs include the Roskern Community Centre, transitional homes and foster care.
